Sol Poets consist of three members who each bring something special to the mix. Phil Pott (left) is the story teller, Five Starr (right) is the quick witted wordsmith, and B. Soul (center) brings the flavor to the equation with his gripping spoken word pieces and masterful vocal ability. When the three are combined, they form the harmonious, musical combination which is self titled: Spoken Soul.

Sol Poets have performed at many different venues and events throughout Chicago. Their very first show was over two years ago @ A Touch of The Past located in Bellwood, Il on a Tuesday night. The response was more than they dreamed it would be. With the crowd begging for more, especially the women, Sol Poets added more and more ''Spoken Soul'' to their repitoire and captivated more and more people, show after show. They received national recognition when they performed on Russell Simmons ''Full Moon Def Poetry'' in April of 2003. Sol Poets also made their big screen debuts in Feb of 2004, when they appeared in the blockbuster movie ''Barbershop 2''. They also will be featured in the movie "Roll Bounce", featuring Nick Cannon and Lil BowWow, sometime in 2005.

Olive Harvey Talent Showcase Winner; Malcolm X College Talent Showcase Winner, Mental Habit Ent. Talent Showcase Winner; Chicago Night at The Apollo; Club Alphonse Talent Showcase Reigning Champion for 3 months; Jeanunie Entertainment Theatrical Play and Production; and various appearances on Chicago's cable access channels.
